Yosemite Valley will be open for business again soon. The National Park Service announced that visitors can get into the area starting on September 22nd, from El Portal Road (Highway 140), Big Oak Flat Road(120), or Tioga Rd. ( 120).
The Ferguson fire has caused quite an inconvenience but luckily it looks like we’ll finally get our chance to explore this amazing place after all!
Visitors to Yosemite National Park have been able to visit the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias as well, though there are still parts that remain closed due to smoke issues from the fire. Visitors can only enter these restricted areas if they’ve obtained a permit ahead or just know someone who has permission for access in advance!
The historic and unprecedented event of a fire impacting visitors in Yosemite Valley is now over, as the park’s Superintendent Michael Reynolds said Welcome back to everyone who came here during this time!
We’d like to express our thanks through gratitude for all your hard work in keeping things running smoothly while we were dealing with issues from it. And because you guys are just too awesome not only did you help keep people safe but also got them where they needed to go quickly when necessary – without any fuss or bother-we want to say “thank you” again right away.”
The National Park Service says that visitors to Yosemite should expect smoky conditions and poor air quality. They recommend limiting activity during those periods because of the risk of respiratory problems caused by pollution in nearby towns or cities like San Francisco which is just 40 miles away!
