What's the Time?

The islands are just two hours behind Pacific Standard Time. During Daylight-Saving Time (April to late October) they are three hours behind. Time in the Marquesas is half an hour ahead of the rest of the islands.

What Does a Bora Bora Vacation Package Include?

Our luxury resorts offer many amenities such as luxurious rooms, pristine beaches, and excellent locations. More importantly, they offer an experience because after all, Bora Bora is more than just a destination.

Where Can I Exchange Money and Currency?

Upon arrival, most visitors exchange some money at the airport or at their hotels. Since most credit cards are readily accepted in all tourist areas, it is not necessary to exchange large amounts. The currency is the French Pacific Franc (XPF).
Do I Need Visa or Passport for French Polynesia?
For stays of up to 90 days, there are no visa requirements for citizens of the U.S. or Canada carrying the U.S. or Canadian Passport. A foreigner with a residence card for the U.S. is not exempt from the above requirements and should consult the French Consulate based in the U.S. for information.
Is Visiting Bora Bora Expensive?
Bora Bora vacation can seem expensive at first glance since the island is obviously a popular destination for luxury travelers. However, you can have a Bora Bora vacation without breaking the bank when you book with an experienced travel agency such as ours!
What is the Climate Like In Bora Bora?
The average high temperature in Bora Bora ranges from 82F to 86F while the average low is 70F.

The island gets a lot of rainfall but it usually falls in short, heavy showers. These storms are often followed by bright sunshine and clear skies.

What's the official Language in French Polynesia?
French and Tahitian are the official languages, but English is spoken and understood in tourist areas. Learning a few basic French phrases and learning Tahitian greetings are appreciated.
Can I book a Hotel Room Only for my Bora Bora Vacation?
Bora Bora vacation packages include a resort and many activities. However, we do offer great rates on the hotels themselves. We recommend booking as much as you can so that you can experience as much as possible!
What is The Most Popular Bora Bora Vacation Activity?
While each island has its own unique experiences such as visiting a volcano or going snorkeling, parasailing is the number one Bora Bora vacation activity. This is because it allows you to see the entire island from above while also enjoying a bird’s eye view of its spectacular beaches.
Do I Need to Tip?
Tipping is not customary in Polynesian culture and is not expected. However, tipping is welcomed for exemplary service.
How is The Weather ?
Cooled by gentle ocean breezes, the climate is ideal. Being tropical but moderate, the climate is typically sunny and pleasant with an average yearly air and water temperature of 80°F. Summer is from November through April when the climate is slightly warmer and more humid. Winter is from May through October, when the climate is slightly cooler and dryer.
Is there internet access?
Internet access is readily available in French Polynesia, although keep in mind you are on an island so the speed is not necessarily 4G. If you are bringing your own laptop or tablet, please note that not all accommodations are completely Wi-Fi enabled, so you may need the Ethernet cable. In-room access may be via phone modem and usually comes with a fee. If you don’t have your own laptop or tablet along, the resorts often have their own business centers. Some resorts are now offering free Wi-Fi access in the common areas, and there are even a few hotels that offer free Internet access during your stay. Your salesperson can advise you on your specific resort’s Internet capabilities.
What Time of year is Bora Bora best to visit?
Bora Bora has a tropical climate, making it beautiful any time of year! However, you will see slightly different weather from the seasons. From August-October the water is at its calmest and the average temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
