What is Adventures by Disney?

Adventures by Disney is a division of The Walt Disney Company that operates guided vacations around the world. It is separate from Disney Cruise Line and the theme parks. You will not find characters or rides on most trips. What you get is Disney’s level of service applied to real destinations: Rome, the Galápagos, Japan, the Canadian Rockies, the Danube.

Every departure travels as one small group, typically around 40 guests, with two Adventure Guides who handle the logistics, tell the stories behind each place, and look after the kids. Local experts such as historians, chefs, and naturalists join along the way. Most departures are built for families, and many itineraries also offer adult-exclusive dates for guests 18 and over.

What are Adventures by Disney Escapes, and how many days are they?

Adventures by Disney Escapes are short guided trips of 3 to 4 days in a single city. Current Escapes include Barcelona, London, Paris, Rome, Sydney, and the Disneyland Resort and Southern California. A new 3-day Munich Escape joins the lineup for 2027.

Escapes work two ways. You can book one as a stand-alone long weekend, or attach it to a longer vacation: before or after a Disney Cruise Line sailing, a river cruise, or a Land Adventure. They are the lowest-priced way to try the Adventures by Disney style, with 2026 Escapes starting from $2,799 per adult.

How much does Adventures by Disney cost?

Most Adventures by Disney trips cost between $7,000 and $9,000 per adult, before airfare. Across the 2026 lineup, the lowest starting price is $2,799 (Barcelona Escape) and the highest is $12,499 (Japan). Prices are per person, not per room.

Adventures by Disney visits six continents. The current lineup includes:

Europe: Italy, Greece, England and France, Ireland, Scotland, Iceland, Norway, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, and Central Europe.
North America: Alaska, Wyoming, Arizona and Utah, the Canadian Rockies, Nova Scotia, and Southern California.
Central and South America: Costa Rica, Peru, and the Galápagos Islands.
Africa: Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa.

What is new for 2027?

Disney announced three additions for 2027, each with both family and adult-exclusive departures:

Thailand (10 days): Bangkok, the ruins of Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai, Phang Nga Bay, and Phuket.
Croatia and Slovenia (8 days): Ljubljana, Lake Bled, a hike to Velika Planina, and kayaking beside Dubrovnik’s city walls.
Italy: Sicily and Amalfi Coast (8 days, reimagined): more UNESCO World Heritage sites plus hands-on pasta making.

Popular 2027 dates, especially summer and school holidays, sell early. If you have a destination in mind, start planning with us as soon as your travel window is known.

Is Adventures by Disney worth it?

For the right traveler, yes. It is a premium product, and the value comes from what you no longer have to do.

It tends to be a great fit if you:

Are traveling with children or three generations and want activities planned for each age.
Want private access and local experts without researching and booking each one.
Prefer a set price with very few surprise costs once you land.
Have limited time and want every day to count.

It may not be the best fit if you:

Like to travel slowly and set your own schedule each day.
Are traveling with children under about 5. Minimum ages are set per trip, and many itineraries suit ages 6 and up.
Are working with a tight budget. A custom private itinerary can cost less for the same destination.
